frequently asked questions

answer:

In order to reserve a branding slot, we require a 50% non-refundable branding deposit. The remaining 50% of your payment will be due at the end of the project before your final design files are delivered.

We require 50% of your project total at the time of booking because we are a boutique creative studio and often have a running waitlist. We operate on a "first come, first served" basis. Clients who sign their contracts and pay their deposit will be placed in the next available project slot. To help keep my waitlist brief and the quality of my work high, we require signed contracts and a deposit to reserve your project start date.

You can find a breakdown of our services here.

Please complete the appropriate service inquiry form. Caroline will get back to you with a Media Kit and more detailed process sheet. We'll hop on the phone or chat via email, and if it looks like a fit, a full or 50% deposit (depending on the service) is required before you will be placed on the studio calendar.

Short answer: contact us to chat about details + options. This is a common request, so we am considering rolling site design out as a new "à la carte" service in the future.

answer:

No, but thanks for asking. We only accept about 50% of project inquiries to ensure we are always working with clients that we are the best fit for. Should you not be the best fit based on needs, budget or style, we will provide a referral to a close colleague.

answer:

Our custom/foundational branding process is a 5-7 week process and contingent upon your timely communication along the way. Other project timelines vary depending on the service.

As far as feedback guidelines go, our process works because we have strict deadlines on both sides. If you can’t dedicate time to the project, we aren’t a good fit. That said, if it should work, but there was an unexpected delay for any reason, billing at our discounted rate of $80/day starts after the feedback deadline passes.

answer:

You are responsible for ensuring your new brand and content is compliant with your brokerage, and making us aware of any compliance rules or regulations that must be respected in the process (e.g., any mandatory Fair Housing logos, brokerage designations, fine print, color restrictions, etc.). Compliance questions are addressed as part of of our brand project questionnaire. We also strongly encourage every client to go to their broker/team leader for clarification on brand compliance issues, or share the final designs with them for approval. So far this approach has worked well for our clients.

answer:

It's a definite possibility! While we do focus on providing licensed Realtors with branding services, we love real estate industry/lifestyle brands of all sorts. Caroline has worked with a fairly wide range of folks within this niche. Please reach out on our Contact Page to tell us about your project.

answer:

We rarely work with existing logos, since we take a holistic approach to brand design with a commitment to full identities built from scratch. If you have already invested in a high-end branding experience, and think your brand might align with our standards at BLUEPRINT, contact us for details on possible collateral opportunities. Overall we've found that our branding work is most successful for clients when we are able to craft an immersive experience from the ground up. While a logo is important, much of what sets our work apart is the "why" behind the logo and the strategy associated with this level of intention. Because of this, we build full brands and will not design just a logo.

answer:

We'll kick off the process with a phone chat/Zoom video call, with additional phone chats as needed, but our primary communication will be via email.

We keep all client communication documented via email in your custom client portal. This way, we can track refinement requests, refer back to your original goals, and share presentations with ease.
