A couple days ago on Instagram, we had the gall to posit that your Realtor business card doesn’t need a headshot image.
We aired some other strong opinions on real estate branding within the same post as well. If you missed it, then I recommend you catch up on that first HERE.
Now, as a friendly but still fiercely opinionated follow-up to that post, we are defending ourselves with a preview of some business card designs we’ve created for BLUEPRINT branding clients in the past. (Of course, there were too many to choose from, so we just curated a few at random.)
Scroll down to see:
+ Refreshingly clean, modern design;
+ So much effortless and distinctive brand personality on display on each business card, for each respective Realtor/team;
+ Not ONE headshot in sight, MORE brand spotlight space gained, a MORE elegant tone evoked overall, and NO ONE HAVING A HEART ATTACK!
Here’s the long and short of it, for us…
You CAN put your headshot on your business card, like everyone else. You can also put the tagline, “I always have time for your referrals!” , like everyone else.
You can do what everyone else is doing.
It might work.
Or, it might be contrary to smart brand building, steal precious white space that could instead feature your well-made personal branding, and worst of all, blend you in with the rest of the mass-produced-biz-card, “let’s just slap a headshot on it!!!” real estate competition.
Keep following along for more potentially offensive RE branding opinions from our studio, and really pretty visual examples to back ’em up —
