When Jenn closed the doors on her home decor business in 2008, she felt lost, unsure of what came next — so she took a chance on real estate school. What followed was an adventurous season of growth and change that ultimately flourished into a thriving career.
After over a decade in business, Jenn felt ready to pour her heart and history into a rebrand that not only told the story of homes and people who fill them, but fully articulated her own narrative. We were thrilled when she asked us to help bring her vision to life.
Our brand design for Jennuine Living reflects Jenn’s ability to make her clients not only embrace their biggest moves, but joyfully celebrate them.
Custom throwback typography for the Wordmark feels both endearing and established: through seamless connections, graceful contrast and tasteful flourishes, its letterforms capture the essence of classic calligraphy with a bold modern twist.
The Poppy Emblem is an iconic illustrative moment within the brand. More than just a symbol of Arizona’s beauty, it speaks to a lighthearted ethos that isn’t afraid to show a little sass.
We wanted to achieve a more daring illustrative feel than the typical soft vintage floral, so we leaned on a linocut / woodcut technique and exaggerated the Poppy's shape for playfulness. Linocut is an old art form: the artist “cuts away “from the composition to create a final image that is bold and stamped-like, without sacrificing the precision of smooth lines and texture.
We dubbed Jenn's landscape artwork, “In the Valley of the Sun,” a fitting tribute to her Phoenix region in all its organic spectrum — the bold and diverse ecology, translated with a touch of something intentionally folksy + whimsical.
Stylistically, we wanted to channel fun-loving aesthetic capabilities of post-impressionism and fauvism. The final landscape reflects stained-glass inspired imagery, achieved by layering textured oil paint over a wash of acrylic. We nod to the brand's Poppy Emblem within the field as well for a delightful visual storytelling "wink."
On the messaging side of Jennuine Living, we interviewed both Jenn and her real estate clients to strategically write her brand mission + promise statements and personal agent story, while developing other key voice + values copy as the foundation for all future marketing within the business.
Clear, engaging copy speaks to the brand’s purpose and the unique needs of current and prospective buyers + sellers. And, like any brand made with meaning, it invites heartfelt conversation and relationship.
